February 19th, 2008Betty Boop Tattoo

tattoo15.jpg

An obvious fan of Betty Boop, an animated cartoon character appearing in the Talkartoon and Betty Boop series of films. At this photo the tattoo seem to be made of henna, a common way of having a temporary skin art usually for style on a certain event or occasions or if not ready yet to have that real ink in the skin.

February 18th, 2008Dragon Ball Z Tattoo

Surely, only a very obvious Japanese anime fanatic is willing to endure the agony (or pleasure?) of imprinting this wide piece of art on his back. The idea of having this for a tattoo seems to combine the mind of a kid and an adult’s threshold of pain. However, it looks like that the artist minimized his use of ink as it is so lightly-colored. It would have done more justice to the character of Goku if the colors were bolder.

February 16th, 2008Guns n’ Rose…

tattoo3.jpg

A typical tattoo design that can be found in lot of rock music fans. This tattoo is some kinda funny since the guns are pointing unto something and I am not pretty sure with the significance of the rose in between. Well that depends on what you are thinking!;-)

February 15th, 2008Tribal Rebel

tattoo16.jpg

Some kinda a tribal tattoo worn by this woman in camouflage pants. I used “tribal rebel” for a title just for nothing since it somehow match the combination of the tattoo and the type of pants she’s wearing. The tattoo seem to look like a face of a tribesmen of South America or the Pacific Islands.

February 14th, 2008Black Chinese Dragon Tattoo

tattoo11.jpg

The dragon, plus the Chinese inscriptions above, reminds me of the heroic female character, Mulan. What makes it cool is that underneath the clothes, there reveals a girl’s boldness and daring personality. Besides, any mythical creature for a tattoo gives some mysterious touch on one’s image.

I prefer either the red or the black color for such tattoo. Any other than that, I think it will make it look a little odd.

February 13th, 2008Ball of Fire Tattoo

tattoo8.jpg

The way I see it, this ball of fire is a cool description of one’s character. It could speak of a fiery and fierce attitude, or yet just a simple but striking identity.

I wonder how it would look if there were thinner outlines and more of the orange, red, and yellow blends, the colors of the natural fire perceived by the human eye? Nevertheless, the fine handwork surely made it neat and clean to look at.

This dragon tattoo is kinda cool. With its tribal influence, it made a different attitude to its effect.

February 10th, 2008Big Cross Tattoo With Wings

This is a big ol’ cross tattoo on someone’s back, with wings and all.  I like plain black tattoos for their simplicity.  I wonder what it means to this person?  Is he religious, or is the meaning elsewhere?

Back tattoos that have symmetry, like this cross tattoo, have to be done very carefully so they’re not even the littlest bit lopsided.  If it is, it will be really obvious  and look awful.  If you get a tattoo like this, have a friend or two come with you to check it out before the artist begins, so you’re sure the placement is correct.  You won’t be able to tell since it’s on your back.

There are all kinds of cross tattoos we’ll continue to feature as it’s one of the most popular designs.  Celtic crosses, more traditional Catholic scenes with crosses.  Lots of people also like getting tattoos feature Jesus on a cross, or some other variation on that theme.  Do you think crosses make a cool tattoo?

February 10th, 2008Celtic Tattoo

This little ankle Celtic tattoo is simple and crisp; an attribute that’s important for a good looking Celtic tattoo. To many swirls and too much detail and it starts to look muddy. The ankle is supposed to be one of the most painful places to get a tattoo. I don’t have one there, so I’m nt sure if that’s true. My back tattoo was my most painful, along the spinal cord.

If you have a cool Celtic tattoo to share, why don’t you upload it to our gallery?

February 10th, 2008Bird Tattoo

I love this bird tattoo flash! The bird is primarily red and blue, with a bit of yellow. I really like how the bird is somewhat cute and cartoony, but isn’t so much of a cartoon it looks ridiculous. I hope we see more from this artist, very cool tatto flash work!
