April 19th, 2008Falling Stars Tattoo

The idea for this tattoo is impressive but the design could have been more okay if these perfectly-shapes stars were less in numbers and size, and more scattered around the area. On the other hand, as the picture shows, this design could only use the least number of colors. Coloring it with several colors may make it appear like a storybook page.

April 18th, 2008Stingray Tattoo

Apart from the usual sea creatures used as tattoo designs, stingrays can be a great skin art too. Its impression on the skin in this picture became cooler with the shadow details, making it appear as if it is really gliding in the waters. The very same fish that killed that famous Aussie croc hunter can stick to you after all…just as a tattoo, that is.

April 17th, 2008Abundant Tree Tattoo

It seems that this person is an environmentalist. The touch of nature in this tattoo evidently sends off a reminder that we should act against the impending dangers to our environment. The abundant tree symbolizes the beauty of the earth, however with the continuing abuse done to Mother Nature, the roots of this tree may be the same roots that can destroy it.

April 16th, 2008

A great way to dress up a lady’s foot. The simple feminine design and perfect combination of colors add beauty to a body part that’s usually taken for granted. Now, scrap those pairs of shoes and show off that beautiful tattoo…and feet. This is a sure way of making people look at you from head to foot.

April 15th, 2008Unfinished Fish Tattoo

This tattoo looks cool enough to accentuate this woman’s back, as well as making it more unique with its detailed design. Despite of the intricate details, the basic colors used balances the tattoo as it still somehow gives a touch of its simplicity. The blank portions show that this well-defined skin art has a lot more to come.

April 14th, 2008Small Eagle Tattoo

The humorous caption indeed tells us that not all tattoos look good for everybody. Some may have unfitting representation of one’s self, and like in this case, some may just not be right size-wise. This simple design of an eagle looks okay enough by itself, though.

April 13th, 2008Winged-legs tattoo

This tattoo reminds me of the mythical god Mercury, except that this symmetrical wings is in the lower legs (instead of in the shoes). Looks unfinished, however seemingly becoming a beautiful skin art especially if simple colors will be added. I wonder what those thin red line marks are…

April 12th, 2008Dog Lover Tattoo

An obvious lover of dogs. The dog is a powerful symbol of loyalty, vigilance and intelligence. Here shows the owners love for his favorite pets which seems to be very personal.

April 11th, 2008Hibiscus Flower Tattoo

Hibiscus tattoos have become almost as popular as rose or butterfly tattoos in the US - maybe all over the world. This flower is usually seen in a tribal style - with thick black lines and little accent of color or detail. The hibiscus can also be found in conjunction with other Hawaiian imagery, such as sea turtles, mountains or surfboards. This very traditional flower for native Hawaiians seems exotic and unique for wearers from the rest of the US.
