May 19th, 2008The Ideal Gift Idea
I pride myself on buying thoughtful gifts for people but let’s face it, I’m a busy person! I don’t always have the time to think of something really original and personal for the person I need to buy a gift for. I recently found a perfect solution. Jewelry with Chinese symbols works really wonderfully because you can easily get symbols that are personal to the person involved. It is likely not something they already have. So far I’ve given this type of jewelry to my mother-in-law, sister and aunt and they have all really loved them. My mother-in-law was particularly touched as I got her the symbol for health because she’s a health care worker.
May 18th, 2008Reduce Tattoo Pain With These Tips
Go for tattoos on the fleshier parts of your body such as the arm or the leg if you are worried about the pain during tattooing. Of course, there are other ways to reduce the pain such as choosing a light handed tattoo artist if you can. They can make the tattooing experience more bearable.
Of course, the actual amount of pain experienced will also largely depend on individual pain tolerance levels and some people are more likely to be sensitive to pain than other people. If possible, focus not on the pain with tattoos but concentrate on how the tattoos will look in the end instead. That are just some of the many tattoo tips that you can get from our website.
May 17th, 2008Discovering Chinese Symbol Rings
When I bought some tomatoes from the nice old Chinese lady at the farmers’ market I noticed she was wearing a beautiful ring with an intricate pattern on it. I asked her about it and she said that it was the Chinese symbol for love. Her mother had given it to her when she was a little girl. She told me that there are many kinds of Chinese symbol rings. I really liked the way it looked so the next day at the library I found a book about Chinese symbol rings and looked at many other symbols. I enjoyed the fact the symbols looked like little works of art, but also held a special meaning. Someday I hope to be able to buy and wear a Chinese symbol ring.

Greek mythology is the king of the gods, the ruler of Mount Olympus, and the god of the sky and thunder. His symbols are the thunderbolt, eagle, bull and the oak. In addition to his Indo-European inheritance, the classical “cloud-gatherer” Zeus also derives certain iconographic traits from the cultures of the ancient Near East, such as the scepter.

The heart in modern times is generally accepted as the center of feelings. It has also come to symbolize togetherness as in “unity of heart” and love of the romantic type. A bleeding heart can mean unrequited or lost love.
May 13th, 2008Papillion

Butterflies are an overwhelmingly female tattoo design. Because of the butterfly’s short life span, many ancient peoples saw it as emblematic of the impermanent. Its physical beauty and its fluttering from flower to flower seeking nectar have made it synonymous with the more unstable and superficial aspects of the human soul.
May 12th, 2008Bull Tattoo

The Bull is a symbol of power, strength, resurrection, masculinity, fertility, impulsiveness, fathers, kingship, and the Zodiac sign and constellation Taurus. The widespread presence of the Bull in many different and widespread cultural mythologies and early religions can be explained by the fact that cattle were among the first animals domesticated by man, in fact probably not longer after the Asian wolf became the household dog.
May 10th, 2008Flowery Shark

The shark is viewed as the world’s greatest predator, and the shark tattoo is a symbol of power and fearlessness. But in this picture, it combines a flowery waves which somehow gives a symbol of the islands surrounding the pacific.
