Some of the many popular bird design for a tattoo are the bluebirds, eagles, mythical phoenixes. Bluebirds symbolize happiness while the bald Eagle is the national bird and a poignant symbol of the United States. The other types of Bird Tattoo and their symbols that are not popular as the above: a) albatross- stands for something weighing on the wearer b) robin- a sign of spring, youth, and new life c) owl- a symbol of wisdom and sight d) raven- a symbol of death or a gothic statement e) swallow- after spending 5,000 miles at the sea sailors used to get this tattoo.
