aww that sounds like an amazing tattoo especially the meaning behind it.
you could draw a flower your thinking of in your head or give your tattoo artist some pics of some ideas and they can create something you might like.
if you find a picture of something you like just tell them you want it colored violet and if you find a picture that is bigger then an inch then trying resizing if before you get your tattoo or usually all places can resize it there for you.

I'm looking for 1-2 more flower varieties to create a "bouquet" effect in the drawing. Whether you think of folklore, climate, location…just looking for flowers that compliment poppies. Thank you!
I have always liked poppies and lilies together. Poppy being the soft "flowy" flower and the lily being the contrast with spiked foliage and pointed petals.. I really like poppies and orchids together. The colors are so varied in both, I'm sure there is a combination right for you. I would love to see the finished product when you get it done:)

January 21st, 2009flower tattoo - need help finding info on it?
I am looking for information on a mountain flower found in the Pyrenees mountain range in Spain. This flower has blue petals surrounding a pure white center. They grow in the mountain hills of Bonaigua Pass, Catalonia - I found a picture of them online…but above is all I can find out about them. My friends says they may be a type of flowering grass. I think they are beautiful.
Thinking of using them as part of a tattoo…if I can find out more about them - I am not about to tattoo something on my body that I dont know all about.

Sorry D….can't help ya ….but I agree……that vivid shade of blue with the white centers would look good with your flutterbys….. You might try posting this question in the botany section (but I'm sure you've already done that)….good luck to you.

Jasmine = my babygirl, she is a Maltese, Im just looking for a cool interpertation of the flower…maybe somehow incorporating or representing that its my puppy's name. I know that may be hard, so if you have cool pics of just the flower that would be great! Thanks!
Maybe you can have small paw prints placed around the flower? or if you really want to represent your little girl (puppy) you can get an image of her?
