I think it is an overused tat (the whole koi fish thing) but i think possibly with the tattooist (is that the right word?) using his/her complete originality and nothing from a book or anything i could make this work and look like a nice tat. I think the idea of this is pretty good because i have never personally heard of anyone getting any type of koi tattoo for my particular reason. what do you think?
yea thats what i thought. bleh DAMN MIAMI INK I BLAME THEM!!! oh well maybe ill stick with some type of mermaid
yea ashley thats what i thought too. Because the tattoo would be for ME and noone else eff what other people think i think if it was really feminine and flowly it would be really pretty.

it is not about the fish its self that i like! it is the meaning behind it. swimming down means you are trying to over come things and up means you over came them! thats awesome to me

January 18th, 2009I had dreams of Koi fish?

hello, i had a dream of a bunch of koi fishes swimming in a man made pond, and there was one really big koi fish. I recall in my dream being completely surprised and in awe of how big it was. Dont know what this means. Some say it can mean im pregnant. We have been trying to get pregnant using fertility drugs…could this mean good news to us. My husband thinks the only reason i got a koi dream is because im gettign a koi tattoo this weekend!!?! I had dreams of zucchini's and eggplants before this dream…lol. Do they represent anything??

Fish can generally mean health and fertility, depending on the outlook of the dreamer and context.

In this context I see no surprises - it likely relates to your expectations of pregnancy if not that occurrence itself, yet. That you plan to have a Koi tattoo reveals much that would underscore this - you seem aware of the connections.

And aren't they so placidly graceful - peace-giving as you watch? What could be more conducive to success in your efforts in this matter? Fertility rises when one is relaxed and well fed, physically and mentally.

The veggies? Gee, what do you think… eggplants at least certainly convey an obvious thought. The zucchuni could hardly be dismissed as irrelevent one supposes.

Good luck and all the best.

This great work of art makes me crave more for a Koi Fish Tattoo. I like to have one in the near future. What do you think is the best concept for a koi fish to be tattooed on my?

January 15th, 2009Koi tattoo?

I was looking at the Koi tattoo Brand Boyd (lead singer of the band Incubus) has on his forearm, and was kind of curious as to if the other eye has any other symbolism. It might just be an eye to another Koi fish, but I'm not sure.
I almost think it represents the third-eye.
Does the eye have any other kind of symbolism in the Buddhist religion?

Here's a picture of the tattoo:

If that is a Koi, it's very stylized…..
if you look at it another way, it looks
2 fish instead of one long one.
Pretty cool………
I've never heard of the Koi having any
thing to do with Buddhism…….but the
Koi itself and the tattoo of the Koi, is
said to bring good luck.
