I want to get a star tattooed on me but i have no idea where. I need some advice. Where? What hurts? What places fade quickly, and what places dont? Ive seriously considered on the bottom of feet or on the top. or on my hips. or on my lower back. someone told me the foot will fade.
I have no idea its my first tattoo

let me know some opinions icon smile Where's the best place for a small Star tattoo?
thanks

I have 20-25 stars on my feet, 2 on my ribcage area, and 2 on my chest area.

I found the foot ones were the most painful (getting tattooed and for healing) and I'd advise for those to not be your first area to get tattooed. If you put a star on the top of your feet it could fade, but I've had mine done for about 2 years and I haven't seen any fading. The bottoms, yes I could see it fade, and also be a lot more painful!

The hip area heals relatively fast, as does anywhere on your arm or leg. Arm and leg ones also hurt the least (in my experience). I also thought the ones on my chest healed the quickest and also hurt the least (out of the 3 spots I have stars). I didn't think my ribcage ones hurt bad at all, but they are tiny (less than an inch by an inch) and I have heard differently about that area..it all depends on your pain tolerance.

As for your lower back, I believe that backs should be saved for one or two huge tattoos, rather than a bunch of little ones. But that's just me and everyone has their own opinion.

What kind of stars are you getting? nautical ones, regular ones..? I love star tattoos, that's a great idea for a first one.
Good luck with which ever you decide!

I have a friend who did this. She got a tiny star tat on the back of her wrists ( where side where the veins show). She got her tat at NYC and she told me that it did not hurt. She told me that it was cool and cute at first but now she is 21 and she really regrets it bc so many girls has it and she is sick of it.

I have a tat on top of my feet and it really hurts bc its bony down there. It's been there for a month.

so think about it seriously and dont trust other people's opinion too much.

I would put it on my wrist. I have a tattoo there and it didn't hurt much at all. Back of the neck would look good, but that does hurt. the foot would look good, I would put it right below my ankle.

on the top of your arm, like on the shoulder would be a good place, or on one of your toes, or on the back of your neck (they are in order of hurts least to most)

I have a friend who got a scorpian on the bottom of his foot, and it faded dramaticaly.
I don't have any tats, but have been thinking about getting a 5 pointed star for a few years now. I thought on the back of my neck might be a good place, or at the center of my upper back, but after thinking about it, I think I'd rather get it done on my upper arm (so I see it. I can wear tank tops to show it off, or t-shirts to cover it)
Also, as I age, unless I gain a lot of weight, that part of my body isn't likely to change too much.
